About TCF3

Women helping women find their place in the fire service.

TCF3 creates a clearer, more connected path for women who are curious about firefighting but may not know where—or how—to begin.

Our mission

A recruiting platform for women, run by women.

The Mission of Twin Cities Female Firefighter Fitness (TCF3) is to provide a recruiting platform for women run by women. By using physical fitness as a tool, our goal is to connect with and prepare women in the Twin Cities who are exploring the option of becoming a firefighter.

Why TCF3 exists

Preparation is more than passing a physical test.

Candidates also need context, trusted relationships, and a real understanding of the work. TCF3 brings those pieces together through workouts, networking, mentorship, and access to reliable career information.

You do not need a fire-service background to participate. You only need curiosity and a willingness to take the next step.

What guides us

Women-led

The program is shaped by women who understand the fire service and the barriers candidates may face.

Honest preparation

We make the physical and mental demands visible so candidates can prepare with clear expectations.

Community first

A strong network turns a difficult career path into one women can navigate together.

Led by women in the fire service

Experience turned into opportunity.

TCF3 is firefighter-led, supported by St. Paul Firefighters Local 21, and informed by the IAFF Fit to Thrive program.
